Waste disposal
Information on electrical and electronic (old) appliances
These instructions are aimed at private households like yours. Please observe them in the interests of environmentally friendly disposal of old appliances and your own safety.
1. information on the disposal of old electrical appliances and the meaning of the symbol in accordance with Annex 3 of the ElektroG
You may not dispose of old appliances with household waste or unsorted municipal waste. Instead, you must have them collected separately at official collection or return points.
Please remove batteries, rechargeable batteries and lamps before handing them in if they can be removed without destroying them - unless the device is prepared accordingly for reuse and collected separately.
The symbol for separate collection shows a crossed-out wheeled garbage can. It indicates that the appliance must be disposed of separately from household waste.
2. return of old appliances - your options
As an end user, you have the following return options:
Can I return my old appliance to s.luce®?
Yes! We take back small appliances up to 25 cm in external length free of charge. We also offer free returns for larger appliances if you buy a comparable new appliance from us.
I didn't buy the appliance from s.luce® - can I still return it?
Yes! We take back all small appliances up to 25 cm free of charge, even if you bought them elsewhere.
Your store is not near me. Where can I return my device?
You can find a return point near you at www.take-e-back.de.
I can't find a collection point in my area - what can I do?
Just give us your approximate location. We'll find a solution for you.
I don't want to share my location. How can I return my device?
We need your location so that we can offer you a return option within a reasonable distance. Without this information, a specific solution is unfortunately not possible.
Can I send you my old appliance and receive a shipping label?
Shipping used electrical appliances can be risky (e.g. fire hazard). Authorities and environmental organizations also advise against it. Furthermore, shipping causes additional packaging waste. For this reason, we rely on a constantly growing network of stationary collection points. If you let us know your location, we will help you.
Why can't I return my old appliance everywhere in the s.luce® network?
The law requires online retailers with more than 400 m² of storage space to offer their own take-back networks within a reasonable distance of the customer. Various retailers have therefore joined forces. However, you can return your device at any time to official collection points such as www.take-e-back.de or to municipal waste disposal companies. And: If you cannot find a return option, we will organize a solution for you.
3. data protection notice
Many old devices such as PCs or smartphones contain personal data. Make sure that these do not fall into the wrong hands.
You are responsible for deleting your personal data from the device before handing it in.
